A true best friend isn’t someone who knows how to beat you to your very core and make you feel like the most amazing person in the same sentence. They don’t judge you, but know how others will and will prepare you. They understand every one of your problems (from potential suicide to questioning sexuality and everything in between) even to the point where if they know they don’t understand they still share your pain. yes, a best friend is more than just a person, he or she is an extension of yourself.

If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn’t help the poor, either we have to conclude that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we’ve got to acknowledge that he commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don’t want to do it.
